8th June 2009 - Floss & Jess update
It's really good to have received an update on Jess's recovery since her accident, here's a copy of the email I received:
Just a short note to let you know how I am getting on. Mum, Dad and Floss
took me to Glenrothes for Hydrotherapy to build up my muscles after my
accident. It is really good and I'm up to 16 minutes. Floss has managed to
muscle in and goes as well as she was a bit lame in October last year and
what a scardy! Though she is getting better at it. Mum and Dad took me
back to the vet as they were concerned about my left back leg (that's the
one that got scraped on the ground in the accident) and Angela (The Vet)
X-Rayed me and my right hand fracture has healed ok but my left one is
not fully healed but she says it may take a bit longer. Mum ordered Agility
Equipment for us to use in the garden but I'm only allowed to use the
Weave Poles.
30th March 2009 - Floss & Jess
Here's a copy of the email I received:
Floss and Jess (Border Collies) have moved house from Inverkeithing to Halbeath between ,Christmas and New Year, along with the 4 cats. Our new house has a bigger garden so we have plenty of room to run about.
On 28 February Dad had us out for a walk at night and Jess tried to round up one of the cars when her lead snapped, she ran into the road and was knocked down by a car. Mum and Dad carted Jess off to the vet for a couple of days stay where after X-Rays and TLC she had fracture her pelvis in 3 places. Luckily the car had been waiting at the level crossing for a train to go by and had just started off or her injuries could have been more serious! Jess is grounded for at least 6 weeks and starts hydrotherapy on the 1st April in Glenrothes.
17th February 2009 - New Pals
Well, you probably noticed on the Welcome Page under Latest News, we have two new Pals, they are Tucker and Cassie, I can tell you, Tucker is the loud one and the joker, whereas Cassie is the gentle lady who just likes to say hello then leave you alone.
6th December 2008 - New Pals
Gyp and I were delighted to receive an email from a lovely lady called Jackie who has 6 gorgeous girls in total, Meg, Kizzi, Jet, Sasha, Sky and Kip. Her youngest is 13 months old and her eldest is 14 years old and she competes with some of them at agility. We are looking forward to receiving some photos.
6th December 2008 - End of Agility
Well it's the end of our fun agility already but Gyp really enjoyed it and made considerable progress in such a short time, only the see-saw out-did him. The final week he managed to go over the ladder....ahh I am sooo proud!!! Of course I can't take the credit here, my hubby did most of the agility training with Gyp, it was pointed out to me that probably because I had done the obedience training with him that he was rather too attentive to me and needed to be more independant for the agility so Martin gave it a shot and we saw a vast improvement so I got to sit back and watch for a change.
